The Inclimate Weather Plan is available to all members of the snow and ice removal crews and recommends the preventative use of liquid brine when a storm is imminent. Preventative measures utilize fewer chemicals to perform the same task as measures taken after the fact. Members of the snow and ice removal teams are encouraged to minimize use of salt and chemical products in order to preserve soil integrity and prevent damage to university walking surfaces.
