Student sustainability research incentives

A brief description of the student sustainability research program:
The Earth and Environmental Sciences Endowed Fund is intended to provide students educational experiences beyond the classroom. Examples of usages may include: purchases of equipment for student research, workshops, bringing speakers to campus, and campus sustainability initiatives. At least one student on each proposal must be a major or minor in Earth & Environmental Sciences, Environmental Studies, or Sustainability Management. Examples of awards include: A) In 2021 a group of students were awarded funds to purchase different types of beehives for an evaluation of their efficacy for honey production. B) In 2020 equipment was purchased for the student research project "Laboratory Measurements of Hydraulic Conductivity of Local Aquifer Material".
