The average hourly rate for our lowest paid regular employees (those employees in pay band 1 of 7) is $16.31. Add in the value of benefits and the total hourly compensation amounts to $26.87 or 113% of the living wage.
Virginia Tech provides a generous benefits package to our salaried employees which includes retirement benefits, a comprehensive medical plan, short and long term disability and life insurance.
