The Office for Inclusion and Diversity is a senior level unit reporting to the Provost. The staff of over 30 employees is led by a Vice President for Strategic Affairs and Diversity and a leadership team of two Associate Vice Provosts, two Assistant Provosts, and the Chief of Staff who lead units in the areas of Education and Engagement, Student Success, Cultural and Community Centers, Faculty Diversity, and Operations. The Office also coordinates InclusiveVT, the decentralized model for strategic diversity whereby every senior management area at the university has an appointed representative or faculty line dedicated to diversity and inclusion for their area.

We have a comprehensive diversity education program that includes book circles, the required modules, inclusive pedagogy courses, micro-learning videos and digital badge pathways on inclusive workplace and inclusive climate, implicit bias training for search committees, and Safe Zone training.
