A brief description of the institution’s work college designation, its work-learning-service programs for students, and how these programs address affordability and access:
Virginia Tech participates in the Federal Work Study program, which provides the main part of salaries for certain employment opportunities both on- and off-campus. These programs address affordability and access by providing students who otherwise may not be able to afford college with an opportunity to be able to afford their education without having to pay back loans.
