YES, the InclusiveVT Executive Council is comprised of the President, Provost, Deans, Vice Presidents, and elected governance representatives.

The President’s InclusiveVT Executive Council guides the development of InclusiveVT and ensures that responsibility for inclusion and diversity is infused throughout Virginia Tech. There are 2 subcommittees for 2017-18: the Working Group on Student Success and the Working Group on Gender

DiversityEdu for students: A research-based online program for students which teaches skills for engaging successfully with diversity and mitigating the influence of unconscious biases and stereotypical thinking on personal choices and professional decisions.

DiversityEdu for faculty search committees: A research based online program which teaches skills to Reduce the effects of unconscious bias in recruitment, hiring, and advancement.

Diversity Search Advocate and Search Chair training, which designates two members of the search committee with responsibility to:
• Share current data about diversity of faculty and staff at Virginia Tech
• Share data about the value of diversity in organizations
• Share research studies about unconscious bias
• Discuss the role of diversity advocates and search chairs
• Familiarize diversity advocates and search chairs with best practices for searching for diversity and excellence.
• Discuss the challenges and opportunities related to diversity in the search process

Diversity Development Program: A multi-course program that helps to enhance university-wide diversity and inclusion efforts that contribute to the core mission of Virginia Tech. Three certificate levels are offered.
