A brief description of the employee wellness program, policy, or practice:
Virginia Tech Hokie Wellness works to provide programming and resources which will enhance employee health and productivity by focusing on the physical, intellectual, emotional, spiritual, and social well-being of all university employees and their families. Programs include an annual health and benefits fair, Finding Balance Conference, Elder Care Series, Week of Love Heart Health program, Weight Watchers At-Work meetings, smoking cessation sessions, Maintain Don’t Gain holiday nutrition/physical activity program, and a summer activity program. These programs are disseminated through lunch and learn programs, seminars, webinars, and online programs, in order to reach all members of the Virginia Tech community.
