Does the institution make cultural competence trainings and activities available to all employees?:
A brief description of the cultural competence trainings and activities:
The Office for Diversity and Inclusion has a Director of Education and Training who works with a variety of partners across the university to deliver trainings to employees. Among the key efforts being led by this division are diversity trainings for the Administrative Services area of the university and a Diversity Development Institute that works with faculty on developing inclusive teaching pedagogies.
Trainings are also offered on harassment prevention and hiring bias through the Equity and Access area of the Human Resources Program at Virginia Tech.
