Optional Fields

A brief description of the institution’s efforts to support alternative fuel and power technology in its motorized fleet:

VCU has charging stations for the public, subscribers and our four electric fleet vehicles at West Broad Street, N Deck, I Deck and behind our new STEM building with plans for more in the future at D Deck. In the future, the vision is to have a number of high volume utility vehicles with our largest car user, Facilities, that will support their operations. Getting electric vehicles on state contract has its complications; however, we have made strides thinking outside the box and getting adoption from some of our most unlikely customers, Facilities, so the future is bright as we work to continually improve.
