Does the institution formally designate sustainability courses in its standard course catalog or listings?:
Yes

A brief description of the formal sustainability course designation program, including the methodology used to identify and approve courses for inclusion:

Courses identified within the sustainability course designation program include emphasis on environmental, social/cultural, and economic systems with an additional focus on interdisciplinary collaboration, community engagement, and systems thinking. VCU courses with these attributes have a formal Sustainability Content label, and are vetted by the Sustainability Academics Leadership Team.

Students are able to search courses that include sustainability content via the Class Schedule Search function. This does not require signing with a VCU ID, therefore this is open to the public to search. These courses are not listed all together, except for this database, since the course offerings change every year. To search for courses with the "Sustainability attribute" please follow these instructions:
1. Visit, https://www.pubapps.vcu.edu/scheduleofclasses/
2. Click on the semester you would like to search.
3. Click on the term you would like to search.
4. Click on the subject you would like to search (or select all via your keyboard)
5. Scroll through the "Attribute types" on the same page, and click "Sustainability Content"
6. Click "Class Search" at the bottom and all Sustainability Courses (for the subject you chose or all courses for all subjects, if you selected all) will be listed.

Does the institution designate sustainability courses on student transcripts?:
