A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome:
Richmond is hosting the UCI Road World Championship Bike Races this Fall and VCU has created 31 courses to engage students in the races. VCU is offering one-credit special topic courses during the bike race geared specifically toward the UCI Worlds. Some of these courses are service-learning in nature while others are based on a project designed by faculty members. VCU will be closed and regular classes will not be held, therefore these one-credit special topic courses were created to engage students in the race being held in Richmond.
