Our team sent out Emails to each department chair at the university asking for a count of employees in their department that are engaged in research, a count employees engaged in sustainability research, and the names of those employees. The chair of each department was given a description of what qualifies as sustainability research using STARS language. Given the provided criteria, department chairs responded by identifying the number of sustainability researchers and providing names of those employees.
