Falvey Memorial Library’s SOAR (Scholarship Open Access Reserve) Fund provides financial support to members of the Villanova community who are interested in publishing high quality open access publications. Limited SOAR funds are available to faculty, staff, and students affiliated with Villanova at the time of submission; authors may individually receive up to $3,000 per fiscal year to pay for book or journal open access fees/APCs. Please see the SOAR Fund page for more information on selection criterial and other requirements.

A brief description of the open access journal hosting services:
Falvey Memorial Library provides open access journal hosting services for Villanova faculty and Library partners using Open Journal Services (OJS). The publishing service provides local hosting and support, peer-review functionality, basic journal website design, copyright assistance, and editor/administrator training on the OJS system at no cost. This service is currently supported by two staff members, a scholarly communications librarian and a library technology developer. The current list of journals published by Falvey Library is available here.
