Yes

A brief description of how the institution engages in public policy advocacy for sustainability at the municipal/local level:

Since 2017 the College has actively worked with the County government in the management and reorganization of the local public transit system, and continues to support the bus system and participate in governance on an ongoing basis. The college also continues to advocate for enhanced active transportation corridors and public transit access for the community at large.

Yes

Vassar works with regional elected officials and state-wide organizations to advocate for investment in green energy systems and other grant support for the public, especially through the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA).
