The institutional handbook was consulted to get the headcount of total graduates as well as number of graduates by department. Several departments were identified as being explicitly sustainability focused and included first, then the course inventory for AC-1 was cross-checked with required courses in the catalog to identify the total number of eligible programs and the number of enrolled students.


A list of degree programs that require an understanding of the concept of sustainability:

American Culture, Anthropology, Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science, Economics, Environmental Studies, Geography, International Studies, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, Science/Technology/Society, Sociology, and Urban Studies all are either directly sustainability-focused programs or require students to take a sustainability-focused course.
