A brief description of the method(s) used to gather data about employee commuting, including the timeframe for when the analysis was conducted and how a representative sample was reached, if applicable:
Conversations with HR, Security, and the Faculty Housing Office provided information on the number of people who live on and near campus, the number of of employee car stickers registered, and employees who live near mass transit (e.g. commuting via train from NYC). Together these sources of data provided a good sense of employee commuting practices.
