A brief description of the institution’s methodology for evaluating employee satisfaction and engagement:
Vassar has a Human Resources email that is used as a continuing information loop throughout the year regarding employee satisfaction and concerns. Unionized workers report to union representatives as well and Vassar’s Human Resource department receives reports from this feedback. It is estimated that 2/3 of all employees on campus have the opportunity to give feedback about their respective departments by means of department specific questionnaires. The Human Resources department collects these reports and uses them as a way to measure employee satisfaction within departments.
