The College has a no idling policy for campus vehicles, and avoids using lawn mowers on designated air-quality days.
The College has made a commitment to being 'smoke free' in July 2015, leading up to that date, cigarette urns have been moved 50 feet away from building entrances, smoking cessation classes are being offered, and a public information campaign has begun.

In accordance with federal laws, the college monitors the air emissions from the on-campus heating plant, however an inventory has not been made publicly available.

In an effort to reduce air and GHG emissions, the college switched from burning a mix of fuel oil and natural gas to just natural gas.
