Vanier College, along with Cegep St-Laurent, and the Borough of St-Laurent have partnered with Netlift, a multi-modal ride-sharing application, in an effort to optimize employees’ mobility and promote sustainable transportation. The Netlift application can be used online or on smartphones. It combines carpooling and public transportation to provide commuters a more efficient, stress-free, and environmentally sustainable commute.

Vanier also offers a platform on Omnivox to facilitate carpooling among students and staff.

The charging stations at the College are located next to the main entrances.

A brief description of the electric vehicle recharging stations:
Two Level 2 recharging stations are located in the P2 parking lot adjacent to the main entrance of the College since May 2019. One will be made available free of charge to Vanier College employees while the other charging station will be available for use by members of the public. The stations are now ready to use. The charging stations have locking holsters that are equipped with screens that provide instructions explaining how to use the stations. The two stations are located in the P2 parking lot adjacent to the main entrance of the College located at 821 Ste Croix Ave.

Yes

Vanier has a program with OPUS (Montreal public transit card) where if employees buy an annual pass they will receive two months free. One subsidized by Vanier and the other by the STM. Approximately 40 staff members take advantage.

Students/staff are encouraged to bike to school during the week-long “Mon Cegep À velo” (Bike week) initiative. Participants receive free food and a chance to qualify to win prizes like a new bike. Vanier has installed conveniently located parking racks near any entrance at Vanier. There are also emergency supplies and a toolkit for minor repairs is available to the whole Vanier cycling community in the Sustainability Office, in B205.
