A brief description of how sustainability is included prominently in new student orientation :
The Energy and Sustainability Coordinator is invited to host programs during Welcome Week, and have a presence at the Student Involvement Fair. Where students learn what the Office of Sustainability provides on campus like campus gardens, waste and recycling knowledge, and programs and internships they can be involved in.
This year (2023-24) Residential Life is working with the Office of Sustainability to include recycling bins in all dorm rooms and helping collect all recyclable materials from move-in.
