A brief description of the institution’s sustainability partnerships with the local community:
Valencia College's Office of Sustainability has developed a strong partnership with Orange County Environmental Protection Division. We have their Air Quality Specialist as a member of our Transportation Task Force and collaborated with them on an electric vehicle awareness event July 17.. That event was also a collaboration with OUC, our West Campus energy provider. We collaborated with the City of Orlando GreenUp program for our March 29 Arbor Day Foundation Tree Planting Event. Various local environmental organizations had tables at our Earth Day event and the Central Florida Zoo brought animals to East Campus' Earth Day event.
