Does the institution have an on-site child care facility, partner with a local facility, and/or provide subsidies or financial support to help meet the child care needs of students, faculty, and staff?:
Yes

A brief description of the child care program, policy, or practice:

Employees are responsible for arranging childcare. A childcare compensation scheme is available; you can apply for this childcare benefit with the Tax Office.

The employer’s contribution towards childcare is determined and paid out by the Tax Office. As a result, Utrecht University contributes toward childcare through tax levies.

In order to become eligible for this benefit the childcare centre will have to be registered with the municipality.
