The university council was involved in the proces of setting up this plan. The university council counts 12 student members and 12 faculty members. The members are annually elected by the student body and faculty, respecively.
The university council meets periodically with the board of governors. The sustainability plan was discussed three times. The first time was during during the conceptual stage of the plan. This was an opportunity for the council to deliver input. The second time the plan was presented. The third time the board of governors discussed the progress of the plan.

The plan describe's the institution's sustainable goals on the following topics: education, research, valorisation, housing, energy, campus fleet, purchasing, IT and communication.
