Over the past three years, the university developed a Greenhouse Gas Reduction plan. It installed more on-site solar on the Fine Arts Visual building and Gateway Parking Terrace. The university is in the process of developing a Central Energy Plant Carbon Reduction plan to examine the steps required to move away from fossil fuels, and it is also in the process of developing a Drought and Resiliency Plan to mitigate and adapt to the effects of drought. Additionally, greenhouse gas emissions have continued to decline year over year, and students taught each year by faculty with sustainability in their classes number in the thousands.
