Joint Climate Change Resolutions

A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome that outlines how credit criteria are met and any positive measurable outcomes associated with the innovation:

The USU Student Association and the USU Faculty Senate both passed resolutions in early 2019 asking the university president to declare a climate crisis and accelerate the university's progress toward carbon neutrality. The president appointed a task force, which issued a survey to faculty and staff in the spring and summer. Students hosted a Climate Change Town Hall this fall. The task force will present its recommendations November 13, 2019. The Sustainability Council will begin annual presentations to the Faculty Senate in January.
