Does the institution use motion, infrared, and/or light sensors to reduce energy use for lighting in at least one building?:
A brief description of the technology used:
USU requires new construction to have occupancy sensors that control lighting in offices and conference rooms. A variety of technologies are employed to control lighting from motion sensors to infrared sensors to sonic sensors and building-wide systems are being installed across campus. We are currently using predominately two systems for our lighting controls, WattStopper and nLight.
