In late 2018, UW released the "Campus Climate Survey" designed to assess the university's status in providing an inclusive educational environment in areas such as access, diversity, equity and inclusion for its students and employees. The survey closed on April 19, 2019 and was administered by the National Center for Higher Education Risk Management (NCHERM).

Since the survey closed so close to the time of submission of this report, results and their implications in shaping policy are not yet known. According to Dr. Emily Monago, Chief Diversity Officer at UW, the results will be used to inform the university's strategic plan, and potentially adjust duties for the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
