The purpose of the Student Government of the Associated Students of the University of Wyoming (ASUW) and its members is to serve their fellow students in the best manner possible through accurate representation, professional interaction with campus programs and organizations, and responsible, effective leadership.
The sitting president of ASUW also serves as an ex officio member of the UW Board of Trustees (the institution's highest governing body).
