Facilities engineering provides a surplus chemicals program for "pre-owned" chemicals to reduce the volume of chemical waste and the cost of disposal. A surplus chemical inventory is maintained online: http://www.uwyo.edu/safety/rmmc/surplus-chemicals.html.

The UW Regulated Materials Management program within the Office of Risk Management maintains policies and procedures for hazardous, bio-hazardous, and radioactive waste.
