A brief description of the method(s) used to gather data about employee commuting, including the timeframe for when the analysis was conducted and how a representative sample was reached, if applicable:
Both this credit (OP17: Employee Communte Modal Split) and OP16: Student Commute Modal Split reference a transportation survey administered to both UW students and employees in 2018. Since this was the only data available for transportation and included mixed responses from both students and employees, the same percentages are entered in both this credit (OP17) and the student version of this credit (OP16), which are worth the same amount of points and ask for the same commute mode data (just for students and employees, respectively). Accordingly, while one of the two credits might earn slightly more points than the true value, the other of the two credits would earn that same amount of points less than the true value, and the combined value of OP17 and OP17 would be accurate according to the data collected in the survey.
