As part of the university's Climate Action Plan, current water use reduction initiatives include:
-storm water management plan ongoing
-limited hot water washers
-front loading washers only
-rain garden installed
-sweeping of parking lots
Goals for 2015 include:
-installation of rain water tanks
-re-graded landscapes for storm water management
-installation of water saving equipment in all restrooms
-reduce number of hot water taps by 50%
-reduce on-campus demand-side water use by 5% per year
