A brief description of the method(s) used to gather data about student commuting:
In the Spring of 2021, we collected student commute modal split data as part of our Sustainability Literacy Assessment survey. While the majority of students traveled via single occupancy vehicle. Many students and staff have opted to walk, bike and use public transit. This is likely due to our increased efforts to make a walkable campus but also because the city of Stevens Point itself is quite flat, making walking and biking easy for many.

Using a commuting a survey we were able to estimate the different commuting options used by students and staff.
