Part 1. Greenhouse gas emissions inventory
Yes
A copy of the most recent GHG emissions inventory:
A brief description of the methodology and/or tool used to complete the GHG emissions inventory:
Currently we use SIMAP as our reporting tool and we use a combination of inhouse dashboards, spreadsheets and forms to organize things internally.
Has the GHG emissions inventory been validated internally by personnel who are independent of the GHG accounting and reporting process and/or verified by an independent, external third party?:
No
A brief description of the GHG inventory verification process:
GHG inventory is processed in the Office of Sustainability with support from UWSP Facilities services. We are currently exploring grant opportunities to get consulting to help verify our processes and make additional improvements.
Documentation to support the GHG inventory verification process:
---
Scope 1 GHG emissions
Weight in MTCO2e | |
Stationary combustion | 15,000 Metric tons of CO2 equivalent |
Other sources (mobile combustion, process emissions, fugitive emissions) | 604 Metric tons of CO2 equivalent |
Total gross Scope 1 GHG emissions, performance year:

Total Scope 3 GHG emissions, performance year:
8,186
Metric tons of CO2 equivalent
A brief description of how the institution accounted for its Scope 3 emissions:
While we have not been able to track all of our scope 3 emissions we have been able to track certain items such as business travel. We also offset all of our scope 2 emissions via the purchase of green e certfied RECs
