Title: Prescribed Fire for Forest Management ​Webinar Series

Foresters and land managers have many forest management tools at their disposal. One tool that's often overlooked is prescribed fire. Though underutilized, prescribed fire for forest management is important for ​ecosystem health, forest regeneration, wildlife habitat, forest health, and disease control. Join us for insightful discussions with national experts as we discuss forest management using prescribed fire. Learn some of the practical knowledge of where, when, why, and how to apply fire in forest ecosystems.

Title: Sustainable and Resilient Communities Series

A series of lectures about the sustainability and resilience issues facing Wisconsin communities will be offered through the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point this academic year (2023-2024).Ranging from protecting fisheries, strategic urban planning, solar energy deployment and a panel full of local leaders there is a range of information housed within this year long lecture series that is open to the public.
