SPAC is committed to providing high quality whole foods, products that are less refined and more nutritious, and products that have a lower environmental impact than commercial counterparts. As a fairtrade certified campus, our office helps to facilitate awareness, create events, and complete general items in order to increase awareness of the SPAC and their available partners

The WI Center for Environmental Education (WCEE) programming and staff structure are shifting to focus on education for sustainability (EfS) that more fully meets the needs of school districts and communities. The WCEE staff are working with partners around the state to build capacity for environmental and sustainability literacy. This new, more comprehensive approach reflects a desire to address the environmental, social, and economic aspects of life. The goal is to develop active, educated citizens who support healthy human and natural communities.

UW-Stevens Point has a membership with the Portage County Business Council (PCBC). This membership provides all UW-Stevens Point employees opportunities for learning and improving career and personal/hobby skills, networking, business tours, and more! The university is a partner in education to help the PCBC implement and promote innovative talent development solutions. Faculty and staff have served on the board and as volunteer ambassadors.

UWSP's Schmeeckle Reserve is the headquarters of the Green Circle Trail, a 26-mile natural hiking and biking trail that loops around the Stevens Point area. About 1.4 miles of the Green Circle meanders through the northern part of Schmeeckle Reserve, with easy access to the rest of the trails. http://greencircletrail.org/

We're partnering with Hostel Shoppe to host a winter bike safety event next Monday (Dec. 4th) from 5pm-6pm in the Allen Fitness Center Conference Room. Come learn how to safely bike in the winter months + some tips to winterize your bike!

Curbwise is a bicycle-powered delivery service in Stevens Point. Owned and operated by Trevor Roark (UWSP Alum). Not only does Curbwise participate across many environmental events on the UWSP campus but he also has summer interns that he heavily prefers are UWSP students.
