A brief description of any internal sustainability professional development and training opportunities that the institution makes available to non-academic staff:
Several trainings and other opportunities are available to staff. This includes the Climate Action and Resiliency Series that is ongoing during the 2023-2024 year as well as a special UWSP CARP presentation focused on UWSP's journey towards sustainability. This CARP presentation is an all day event with a large number of participants from students all the way to the chancellor of the university.

A brief description of any external professional development and training opportunities in sustainability that are supported by the institution :
Many are offered conference support in various ways. This includes opportunities to attend conferences such as UMACS, AASHE, The Midwest Environmental Education Conference and others.

Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging (EDIB) should be an integral part of the performance planning and review. The Competency Model explicitly includes a competency for this topic. When using the Goals model, at least one goal should include some element of EDIB performance. The goal can be in the form of professional development.
