MINDS@UW, an open access institutional repository, is designed to gather, distribute, and preserve digital materials related to the University of Wisconsin’s research mission. Content may include research papers and reports, pre-prints and post-prints, datasets and other primary research materials, theses, dissertations, student capstone projects, conference papers and presentations, and other born-digital or digitized research and instructional materials. Each university in the system has their own MINDS@UW subpage as well.

A brief description of the open access APC fund:

The purpose of the University Personnel Development Committee (UPDC) is to facilitate professional development activities of all members of the University community by (1) providing financial resources, and (2) helping to improve grant writing skills. The UPDC provides grant opportunities for faculty and staff to improve their professional skills or university programs. Grant proposals are evaluated and critiqued to provide constructive criticism and to aid in improving the grant writing skills of the proposer. The UPDC offers the following grant opportunities: Professional Development (PD), Research and Creative Activities (RCA), Course Innovation (CI), Publication Fund (PF), and Creative Dissemination Fund (CDF). Publication Fund (PF) Supports refereed publication of scholarly and creative work. Funds are available on a first-come first-served basis each fiscal year for first or collaborating authors. It does not support non-refereed publications.
