#1 Environmental and Sustainability Issues Committee (ESIC)
This is a student focused and driven committee with one campus staff member serving as a resource for the committee but also has voting rights within the cmte. This Committee advance Legislation ad policy changes for the campus as part of Shared governance. This Cmte also facilitates outreach events and educational campaigns Related to Sustainability.

#2 Bee Campus USA Committee
This committee Was formed in Fall 2019 to pursue Bee campus USA certification.
The committee fulfilled the necessary requirements to receive the recognition and now meets monthly (during the school year) to improve our support of pollinators while planning outward facing events to support education and marketing of pollinators across the campus and in the broader community.

#2 The Green Fund mission is to encourage and fund projects that positively affect the sustainability of the UWSP campus community. The fund accomplishes this by investing capital in long term sustainable projects that affect the way our campus uses energy and our shared natural resources.

The Green Fund Steering Committee shall be composed of the Steering Committee Chair (SGA Environmental and Sustainability Affairs Director), one SGA seat, a Student Sustainability Coordinator seat, two RHA seats, a non-voting faculty seat, a non-voting seat for the university Sustainability Coordinator, and the five voting seats elected by the Student Organizations of UWSP.

A brief description of each sustainability office:

Under the general direction of the Vice Chancellor for Business Affairs, the Office of Sustainability oversees the UW-Stevens Point sustainability programming initiatives. The department works collaboratively with Facility Services, WI Institute for Sustainable Technology (WIST), WCEE Education for Sustainability (EfS), UWSP administration, faculty, staff, and student organizations to encourage and promote sustainable practices on campus.

100% renewable electricity; EPA Green Power partnership WIAC conf. champ 2018-19 2019-20; 2018 National Recycling Coalition Higher Education Award winner, Bronze Level BFU Certification 2019, 2019 Recycling Excellence Award for Overall Program from Wisconsin DNR, Bee campus USA certification 2020; Ran a successful Campus Cup (over 300) campaign to Highlight Sustainable options for menstrual Cups, campus-wide composting with Increased capacity, social marketing campaign; annual GHG inventory and Second Nature reporting; STARS reporting; Coordination of Campus Earthweek events including a system wide Keynote during the pandemic shutdown of 2020 and Earthweek event coordination of 2021; administrative climate policy pledges;

The Sustainability Coordinator position is responsible for the advancement of educational and environmental performance through a variety of activities including: outreach activities to individuals and organizations both internal and external to the University, project and program planning, strategic planning and leadership.
