A brief description of the graduate-level degree program:

Through the College of Natural Resources you may earn a Master of Science in Natural Resources with an emphasis from a variety of areas such as forestry, wildlife, fisheries, water resources, environmental education and interpretation, soil science, and waste management. There are various opportunities for advanced study, research, and involvement in natural resource professional activities including the Becoming and Outdoors Woman Program and the Center for Land Use Education.

Doctor of Education in Educational Sustainability

A brief description of the graduate degree program (2nd program):

The program will prepare graduates to be educators and leaders who hold a passion for transforming systems of teaching and learning. The curriculum is intended to provide students the opportunity to actively engage in coursework, research and professional practice in the field of sustainability. For the purpose of the degree, sustainability is broadly defined using the six core principles. Students can explore sustainability in one or more of these principles to personalize learning in the program.

Knowledge and skills in sustainable food systems and community development are increasingly essential to solving the health and nutrition problems in our populations. Professionals entering this field must be skilled in examining the food system, program planning and evaluation, community development, and leadership, and grant writing.

The Master of Science in Sustainable and Resilient Food Systems at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point provides graduates with expertise in food systems and community nutrition as well as the skills needed to lead positive change in communities and organizations.

The Energy Education Certificate is available to practicing K-12 teachers only and is tied to graduate level courses. The certificate reflects comprehensive professional development and experiences in energy content and teaching competencies. The certificate is awarded after completing at least three Wisconsin K-12 Energy Education Program courses and providing evidence of involvement in at least three energy education activities.
