A brief description of the methodology the institution followed to complete the research inventory:

UWRF does not centrally track faculty research so a comprehensive inventory is unknown. For the purposes of completing this report, we use the data available to us from the Office of Undergraduate Research, Scholarly, and Creative Activity (URSCA). The URSCA office tracks student research through their grant process. Through this process, the faculty mentors involved in research are identified. We also conducted a survey out to all faculty and instructional academic staff for them to self-report any research they are involved with. The attached excel workbook provides a comprehensive list faculty research. We get the above numbers from the spreadsheet. We extrapolate each faculty/staff member involved in research so we do not double count them, thus providing an accurate assessment of the number of employees involved in research as well as which ones are more specifically involved in sustainability research.
