OP-17: Employee Commute Modal Split
|0.42 / 2.00||
Sustainability and Custodial Supervisor
Total percentage of the institution’s employees that use more sustainable commuting options as their primary method of transportation:
A brief description of the method(s) used to gather data about employee commuting, including the timeframe for when the analysis was conducted and how a representative sample was reached, if applicable:
Information for this credit was gathered from the UWRF Transportation/Campus Amenities Survey which was administered in October, 2017. Previous data was from 2005.
'More sustainable Commuting Options' was interpreted as any commuting method that was not driving alone in a single occupancy vehicle. The survey went out to all faculty and staff. 316 faculty/staff took the survey which was 39% of those invited to participate. Given our employee population, the data collected is estimated at being accurate to within =/- 4.3% with 95% confidence.
Recommendations have been made in the Sustainable Campus Community Plan to update the data as soon as possible.
The percentage of the institution's employees that use each of the following modes as their primary means of transportation to and from campus::
|Commute with only the driver in the vehicle (excluding motorcycles and scooters)||79|
|Walk, bicycle, or use other non-motorized means||13|
