While not formally tracked, staff are encouraged to participate in community service organizations (Lions, Rotary, etc.). Many staff serve on boards, committees, and organizations throughout the community and region. Release time is available to attend meetings as needed.

KINDRF is a kindness and volunteer campaign with the goal to make a kinder River Falls. KINDRF strives to provide students with ways to engage in activities that give back and spread kindness to their campus community. We no longer do Relay for Life but instead do a Cheek Swabbing event to get students on the Bone Marrow Registry. We also host an online volunteer calendar on OrgSync that is constantly updated with volunteer opportunities in the local community.

Our campus does not have a centralized office that supports service/service-learning. Through the Office of Student Involvement we offer service programs and promote community service events, but we do not formally track the service participants/hours.

Other Service Programs Sponsored by Student Life (Fall Food Drive, Don’t Throw it, Donate it!, Blood Drive, etc.): 500 participants
Greek Community (philanthropy): 230 participants
Student Support Services: 100 participants
Clubs/Orgs on campus: 100 participants
Residence Life: 50 participants
Athletic Teams/Student Athletic Advisory Committee: 150
Honors Program: 150
- Honors Program Students have to do 135 hours over the course of their 4 years.
