A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome:
The staff and student body have been able to fully utilize our new location for Renaissance Academy, in part based on the items donated by the University of Wisconsin - River Falls. We have acquired a variety of items from surplus property as offered by UWRF, including all student chairs, swivel chairs for our computer based classroom, and computer tables which allow for a more efficient use of the space within our school building.
None
A brief description of any positive measurable outcomes associated with the innovation (if not reported above):
Our new location is able to be used with greater flexibility in the classrooms, as chairs can be stacked into corners, our new, taller "directors" chairs can be used by students in presentations, and by staff for regular classroom uses, as well as maximizing the spaces in our smaller computer lab location. We are better able to inform students of daily announcements via the large chalk board, and the smaller message board that is near our student entrance. In addition to information about typical high school announcements, there are locations that allow future postings about ACT testing and scholarship opportunities that are able to be clearly accessed by students who can benefit from this specific information.
