A brief description of the hospital’s sustainability initiatives:
Our hospital is not currently a member of any of those three organizations. (We were previously a member of Practice Greenhealth, and even received recognition from them for some of the sustainability efforts on our campus, but we have not maintained that membership.)
Regarding current initiatives, here are a few efforts of note:
• We strive for high recycling rates, staying above 45% of our recycling percentage to total waste landfilled
• We have eliminated Styrofoam from our cafeteria and all of our paper products are compostable
