A brief description of the sustainability trainings and professional development opportunities available to staff :
For the past four Summers, faculty have been invited to participate in a Curriculum Workshop. Faculty have been formally trained through the Emory Workshop to facilitate the workshop for their peers. Approximately 40 faculty have now attended the Summer workshop. It has led to a number of course redesigns and/or course developments as noted in the AC-1 section of STARS. In the spring of 2014, multiple "Brown Bag Lunch Workshops" were conducted to showcase the curriculum development of those faculty members that have incorporated sustainability into their classrooms. The fellows program also developed and implemented several earth day activities to engage university staff and students. It is important to note that there are many more opportunities for faculty and staff on campus to engage in sustainability through collaborative research, student life activities that cater to the wider campus community, as well as all the diverse ways campus is used as a living laboratory.

Data source(s) and notes about the submission:
Percentage of staff: This percent was derived from the net number of Sustainability Faculty Fellows, members of the Sustainability Working Group, and faculty engaged in the Sustainability Incubator (44) over the total number of employees at UWRF (882). As noted above, there are numerous formal and informal opportunities throughout the year (periodic brown bags, Earth Day activities centered around speakers, etc). The University Master Calendar link is listed as it is general repository for all campus events/activities. The Falcon Daily which goes to all Faculty/Staff also further updates the campus to events and activities. That information can be found here: http://www.uwrf.edu/UniversityCommunications/FalconDaily.cfm
