A brief summary of the climate plan’s long-term goals:

The UWRF 2012 Climate Action Plan (CAPlan) is the most comprehensive and aggressive found in North American Institutions of Higher Education. It goes beyond typical commitment to status-quo operations by committing to becoming carbon NEGATIVE by 2018. It also outlines initial and recurring costs for each recommendation, cost avoidance and short- and long-term ROI's, primary offices to implement each strategy, and suggests possible curriculum and research integration for each strategy.

A brief summary of the climate plan’s short-term goals:

As the plan is the most aggressive noted to date, its short term goals parallel the long term goals in many ways. However, as the plan was adopted unanimously for planning purposes, its adoption is tantamount to a short term goal of infusing it for use in all planning decisions moving forward from the date of adoption.
