Name or title of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome:
Edible Landscaping

A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome that outlines how credit criteria are met and any positive measurable outcomes associated with the innovation:

UW-Platteville has been using edible landscaping on campus proper for the past three years. We plant a decorative and aesthetically pleasing mix of vegetables on the boarders of most of our ornamental garden beds and use signs to educate our community on what the produce is and encouraging them to harvest and eat it. Managed organically (without any herbicides or pesticides) these plants encourage our community to consider healthy food choices, agriculture practices, and the value and potential productivity of lawns and landscaping.
