A brief description of the institution’s sustainability projects fund:
Formerly referred to as the Campus Sustainability Fund, this competitive grant program distributes $15,000 each year to UW-Platteville Students, Faculty, and Staff to support projects that enhance the sustainability of campus. Projects are evaluated on how well they meet the UW-Platteville sustainability mission to "meet the needs of the present while enhancing the ability of future generations to meet their own needs."
A brief description of the multi-stakeholder decision-making process used to determine which projects receive funding through the sustainability projects fund:
Funded by University Segregated Fees as overseen by the Segregated University Fee Allocation Commission (SUFAC), the funding is distributed by the UW-Platteville Environmental Sustainability Committee based upon a competitive proposal process each year. The Environmental Sustainability Committee is made of fifteen voting members appointed from three of the campus governance groups: https://campus.uwplatt.edu/sustainability/environmental-sustainability-committee
