A brief description of the campus climate assessment(s) :
UW-Platteville completed a Campus Climate Survey in 2011 which measures the climate of diversity and inclusiveness on the UW-Platteville campus with regard to race, ethnicity, gender identity and sexual orientation, religious affiliation, veteran status, etc. The survey also reveals overall campus differences in regards to attitudes about diversity and equity on campus in order to identify areas of improvement needed.

UW-Platteville maintains and updates an Affirmative Action Plan which includes an assessment of employee diversity and equity. Whenever UW-Platteville staff leave the University, they are asked to complete an exit survey which includes a series of questions about campus climate, diversity, and equity, and which is used to update the Affirmative Action Plan.
