The electronics purchasing policy, directive, or guidelines :
All electronic purchases on campus must be authorized by our campus Information Technology Services (ITS). Departments have three annual opportunities to buy PC systems: winter (December), spring (May - for current year monies), and summer (June - for following year monies). ITS assures that all computer purchases comply with Wisconsin State electronic contracts. When these contracts go out to bid they specify energy efficiency and quality standards that generally fit with EPEAT. Campus further selects models that all meet EPEAT Gold from the approved vendors.
